Fisi: Renault ready to show it's back

Giancarlo Fisichella is optimistic Renault can make furtherimprovements in this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix and show it is"back on form".The Italian scored the world champion squad's best result of theseason so far with fourth place in Monaco, a finish good enough forengineering chief Pat Symonds to suggest that the team has broken outof the midfield.Fisichella is confident Renault will continue to demonstrate itsimproved pace in Montreal as it looks to get back on terms with thecurrent top three teams."I think that we can be optimistic," he said."Things have improved for us in the last weeks, the car balance isbetter, and the overall grip is higher too."Both factories are working flat out to improve the car even more, andall the members of the team are pushing to the limit."They have done a fantastic job so far."That hard work will definitely pay off, and I am confident that inMontreal, we will show we're back on form."Meanwhile team-mate Heikki Kovalainen is himself looking to get backon track, after a disappointing Monaco weekend. The rookie admits he was frustrated he wasn't able to take fulladvantage of Renault's improved form, but says he is now looking toput things right on his first outing on the Circuit de GillesVilleneuve."As I said at the time, there is not really much to take from theweekend," Kovalainen said of Monaco."I didn't have a chance to set a good time on Thursday, and it gotworse from there."I was doubly disappointed because I know how hard the team has workedto give Giancarlo and myself a more consistent and faster car."But that's in the past now."I am focused on the Canadian Grand Prix, and on continuing to improvemy performance.
